What's Next on WandaVision Final Episodes | NYSQ Theories

The NYSQ Nerds talk about what is next for WandaVision or at least what we think is next for episode 8 and beyond! 

 


WandaVision is an upcoming American web television miniseries created for Disney+ . It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. The events of the series take place after the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame. The series is produced by Marvel Studios, with Schaeffer serving as head writer and Matt Shakman directing.

 

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their roles as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision, respectively, from the film series. Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings, Randall Park, and Kathryn Hahn also star. By September 2018, Marvel Studios was developing a number of limited series for Disney+, centered on supporting characters from the MCU films such as Maximoff and Vision, with Olsen and Bettany expected to return. Schaeffer was hired in January 2019, the series was officially announced that April, and Shakman joined in August. Filming began in Atlanta, Georgia in November 2019, before production was halted in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed that July in Los Angeles.

 

WandaVision is scheduled to premiere in January 15th 2021, and will consist of 9 episodes. It will be the first series in Phase Four of the MCU.

The NYSQ Nerds do InFocus on the Darkhold for WandaVision, the book that Agatha has been using and we saw briefly in her basement in episode 7

West Coast Avengers 40 And Now the... Night Shift!

Mockingbird sees Digger burying three gentlemen in the middle of the street and swoops down and takes care of the bad guy!


When she takes him in to the police station, she finds out that he is part of the Night Shift. That name sounds familiar to Mockingbird but she cannot place it. The scene shifts to the Night Shift where they are waiting on Gypsy Moth and Digger, Gypsy Moth arrives and tell them the news of Digger getting a beat down by Mockingbird. They decide to teach the West Coast Avengers a lesson not knowing that she quit the team. They break into their compound and Hawkeye and Vision answer the alarm. The Brothers Grimm take down Vision with the help of Tick-Tock.

Gypsy Moth uses her powers to break Hawkeye’s bow, with Vision incapacitated and Hawkeye without his bow, the West Coast Avengers are in trouble. Mockingbird meets up with Tigra and Moon Knight and after hearing her story, they decide to head to the Night Shift’s hideout that Moon Knight had found way back in Solo Avengers #3. Meanwhile back at Avengers Compound, Scarlet Witch joins the battle and is trapped in giant wad of cotton when she hexes the Brothers Grimm magic beans.


Tigra, Mockingbird and Moon Knight find a note for the Shroud from the rest of the gang stating they went to get Digger released at Avengers Compound, but they stay at the Night Shifts hideout since they do not know when they left to free to comrade. Wonder Man arrives just in time to help!!

The Shroud shows up at the Night Shift’s hideout and tells the former West Coast Avengers that the Night Shift will move to another of their hideouts and leaves. He shows up at Avengers Compound and frees the Night Shift and agrees to talk to Hawkeye in their usual place in ten minutes. The Shroud explains what had happened and Hawkeye tells him that he has to tell his team the truth about the Shroud. The Shroud and Hawkeye shake hands and the Shroud disappears into the night leaving Hawkeye standing by himself.

NYSQ InFocus John Walker for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Your favorite nerds go InFocus on John Walker prior to his appearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney Plus on March 19th! What do you all think about him joining the MCU?


The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is an upcoming American television miniseries created by Malcolm Spellman for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics characters Sam Wilson / Falcon and Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. The events of the series take place after the film Avengers: Endgame (2019). The series was produced by Marvel Studios, with Spellman serving as head writer and Kari Skogland directing.

 

Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their respective roles as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes from the film series. Daniel Brühl, Emily VanCamp, and Wyatt Russell also star. By September 2018, Marvel Studios was developing a number of limited series for Disney+, centered on supporting characters from the MCU films, with Spellman hired to write one on Falcon and Winter Soldier in October. The series was officially confirmed in April 2019 along with Mackie and Stan's involvement. Skogland was hired the next month. Filming began in October 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia, before moving to the Czech Republic in early March 2020. Production was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resuming in Atlanta in September 2020. Filming ended in the Czech Republic in October.

 

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is scheduled to premiere on March 19, 2021, and will consist of six episodes. It will be part of Phase Four of the MCU.

The Quinjet lost control at the end of last issue and we find out it is because Hawkeye called the East Coasters about the menace at the South Pole (WCA Annual #3) and they had already heard from Mockingbird. The Vision and Scarlet Witch need to get Tommy and Billy from their grandmother so stop before continuing to help Mantis with her memory loss. Seeing their happy family together brings the feelings of losing his wife to the surface and Hawkeye’s feeling manifest in a sigh


Mantis talked with Hawkeye and uses her empathy to share his grief at the family bliss and the plans he had with Bobbi. Tigra, Moon Knight, Mockingbird and Goliath land in New York after the events of WCA Annual #3 and decide not to go help the East Coasters since Hawkeye and his team surely will help… Goliath leaves to seek out Hank Pym for help and leaves the three former Avengers


As he leaves the Phantom Rider shows up to harass Mockingbird, Stuns Tigra and when he knocks out Moon Knight, Khonshu enters the fight, the Phantom Rider wants no part of a god and takes off

The Scarlet Witch feels an intense burst of evil in Newark and knows that something is wrong (to be continued later) The West Coasters are with Mantis in the condo where she awoke with no memories when the doorbell rings. It is only the mailman with CDs, he seems to recognize her as Mrs. Celestine. With the condo being a dead end, they head the Vietnamese Temple where Mantis grew up.


They head to the Swordsman’s grave spot while explaining what happened to Simon when the Swordsman rising from the grave aglow like when the Cotati animated his form


He offers to return her memories and attacks! The Avengers try to subdue him, but Swordsman fights them off and leads Mantis to the sacred grove of the Cotati where he impales her with his sword. And Mantis’ lifeforce returns to her body that was left on Earth all those years ago. The Swordsman knew that killing the simulacrum so close to her actual body would restore her. The Swordsman leaves his sword with Hawkeye, Hawkeye offers Mantis a place with the West Coast Avengers but she declines to stay at the Vietnamese Temple for now.
