We go InFocus on Echo, Maya Lopez, since she was shown at the end of episode 2 of Hawkeye and we are expecting her to make a big impact on the show and MCU for many years to come, so let us tell you all we know about the latest character to join the MCU!

Hawkeye is an upcoming American television miniseries created by Jonathan Igla for the streaming service Disney+, based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Clint Barton / Hawkeye and Kate Bishop / Hawkeye. It is intended to be the fifth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise and taking place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019). Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d'Arcy James, and Alaqua Cox also star. Marvel Studios was developing a limited series for Disney+ centered on Hawkeye by April 2019, with Renner returning. Thomas and Bert & Bertie joined as directors in July 2020 and filming began in New York City that December. Steinfeld and additional cast members were confirmed, and filming concluded in late April 2021. Additional shooting took place in Atlanta, Georgia. Matt Fraction's Hawkeye comic run served as a major influence on the series.

Hawkeye is scheduled to premiere its first two episodes on November 24, 2021, and will consist of six episodes, concluding on December 22. It is part of Phase Four of the MCU. A spin-off series, Echo, focused on Cox's character Maya Lopez / Echo, is in development.

NYSQ At the Theater Review Ghostbusters Afterlife

We are at the theater for our spoiler free review of Ghostbusters Afterlife, what do everyone think of the latest in the Ghostbusters franchise?

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a 2021 American supernatural comedy film directed by Jason Reitman, who co-wrote the screenplay with Gil Kenan. The film stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace and Paul Rudd, while Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts reprise their roles from the original films. It is a sequel to Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989) (both directed by Reitman's father Ivan, who serves as producer) and the fourth film overall in the Ghostbusters franchise. Set thirty years after the events of the second film, a single mother and her two children move to a small town in Oklahoma, where they discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and their grandfather's secret legacy.

A third Ghostbusters film had been in various stages of development since Ghostbusters II released in 1989, stalling as Murray refused to commit to the project. After the death of cast member Harold Ramis in 2014, Sony instead produced a female driven reboot directed by Paul Feig and released in 2016. Feig's film was controversial among fans of the original films and was considered a box office failure upon its release, and Jason Reitman began developing a sequel to the original films. The new cast members were announced by July 2019, while the original cast signed on two months later. Filming took place from July to October 2019.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife was screened unannounced on August 23, 2021 during the 2021 CinemaCon event in Las Vegas. It is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 19, 2021, after being delayed four times from an original July 2020 date, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its performances, Reitman's direction, and nostalgic tone, but criticism perceiving it as overly reliant on fan service.
