Ghostbusters Frozen Empire At the Theater Spoiler Free Review | NYSQ Reviews

We are at the theater for our spoiler free review of Ghostbusters Frozen Empire

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a 2024 American supernatural comedy film directed by Gil Kenan from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jason Reitman. It is the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and the fifth film in the Ghostbusters franchise. The film stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O'Connor, and Logan Kim reprising their roles from Afterlife, alongside Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and William Atherton reprising their characters from the earlier films, with Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt joining the cast. Set three years after the events of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the veteran Ghostbusters must join forces with their new recruits to save the world in New York City from a powerful death-chilling adversary who seeks to build a spectral army.

Following the success of Afterlife, Sony Pictures announced the sequel in April 2022, with Reitman returning as director. Kenan later took over as director from Reitman that December, while the rest of the cast reprised their roles. New cast members including Oswalt, Nanjiani, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind were announced in March 2023, with principal photography commencing that month and wrapping in June. It is the first film in the Ghostbusters franchise to be released following the death of Ivan Reitman, who posthumously receives credit as a producer, while the film is dedicated to his memory and celebrates the 40th anniversary of the first film.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire had its world premiere at the AMC 13 Theater at Lincoln Square in New York City on March 14, 2024, and was released in the United States on March 22, 2024, by Sony Pictures Releasing under its Columbia Pictures label. The film received mixed reviews from critics.

Black Adam is a 2022 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Produced by New Line Cinema, DC Films, Seven Bucks Productions, and FlynnPictureCo., it is a spin-off from Shazam! (2019) and the 11th film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Sztykiel was hired in October 2017. Collet-Serra joined in June 2019 for a planned release date of December 2021, but this timeline was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Spider-Man No way Home The More Fun Stuff Version At the Theater Review

We are at the theater to see Spider-Man No Way Home the More Fun Stuff Version and we will tell you if it is worth your time and money!

An extended cut of the film, subtitled The More Fun Stuff Version, was announced in June 2022. The re-release celebrates 60 years of Spider-Man in comics and 20 years of Spider-Man in film, and features 11 minutes of additional and deleted scenes. Some of this includes additional material with Maguire and Garfield, the scene with Holland's brother Harry as a thief that was cut from the theatrical release,[184] a scene of Parker in his high school gym, and a new post-credits scene.

The More Fun Stuff Version was released in theaters beginning August 31, 2022, in Indonesia, followed by the United States and Canada, among other countries, on September 1, and then continuing to release in a number of other markets through September 9. It will then release in Italy on September 18, in Spain on September 23, and in South Korea on October 6. The poster for the extended cut was considered an improvement from the original release's marketing, since it was able to feature all of the characters previously kept a secret leading up to the film's release. Shrishty Mishra at Collider said it was an "Avengers-style poster [with] a perfect blend of the multiverse feels, combined with the 'Where's Waldo' effect". Anthony Lund of MovieWeb called it an "epic poster that [the fans] have been calling out for". ComicBook.com's Russ Burlingame said the poster was what "we've all been waiting for" and "a big change in the way [Sony] initially promoted the movie" since they "continued to play coy" on the cameos after the film had released

NYSQ at the Theater Review of Thor Love and Thunder Spoiler Free

We are at the theater for our spoiler free review of Thor Love and Thunder. Have you seen it, if yes what did you think?

Thor: Love and Thunder is a 2022 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Thor, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Taika Waititi, who co-wrote the script with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, and stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor alongside Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Waititi, Russell Crowe, and Natalie Portman. In the film, Thor attempts to find inner peace, but must return to action and recruit Valkyrie (Thompson), Korg (Waititi), and Jane Foster (Portman)—who is now the Mighty Thor—to stop Gorr the God Butcher (Bale) from eliminating all gods.

Hemsworth and Waititi had discussed plans for a sequel to Ragnarok by January 2018. Love and Thunder was announced in July 2019, with Hemsworth, Waititi, and Thompson all set to return, as well as Portman who did not appear in Ragnarok. Waititi wanted to differentiate Love and Thunder from Ragnarok, seeking to make a romance film and 1980s-inspired adventure. He adapted elements from Jason Aaron's run on the Mighty Thor comic book, which sees Foster take on the mantle and powers of Thor whilst suffering from cancer. Robinson joined to contribute to the script in February 2020, and further casting was revealed later that year including the appearance of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Production was expected to begin in late 2020 but was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming ultimately began in January 2021 in Sydney, Australia, and concluded at the beginning of June.

Thor: Love and Thunder premiered at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on June 23, 2022, and will be released in the United States on July 8, 2022, as part of Phase Four of the MCU. Critics commended the film's light-heartedness and the cast's performances, though its tonal inconsistency and screenplay received criticism.

Morbius At the Theater Review [Spoiler Free]

We were at the theater to see Morbius and share our spoiler free thoughts about it.

Morbius the Living Vampire, a.k.a. Dr. Michael Morbius, is a fictional character appearing Marvel Comics. Created by writer Roy Thomas, the character first appeared as an antagonist in The Amazing Spider-Man #101 (Oct. 1971).

Despite his initial status as one of Spider-Man's horror-based rogues, he went on to become a brooding and gritty-albeit heroic and tragically flawed-antihero in his own series and other titles. His true identity was former award-winning biochemist named Michael Morbius imbued with pseudo-vampiric superhuman abilities and physical traits stemming from a failed biochemical experiment which was intended to cure his rare blood disorder, as opposed to supernatural means. The rest of his appearances feature his struggles with his non-human vampiric persona, his insatiable lust for human blood and his subsequent efforts to cure his horrific condition, along with his eventual stint as a brutal and nightmarish vigilante.
