For tonight’s retro review, we’re diving fist‑first into Street Fighter (1994) — the gloriously unhinged, explosively campy, accidentally iconic video‑game adaptation that gave us:
Raul Julia’s legendary General M. Bison
Jean‑Claude Van Damme’s “I’m going to kick Bison’s ass!” speech
Kylie Minogue as Cammy
A plot held together by pure 90s adrenaline
And the most chaotic ensemble cast ever assembled
We’re breaking down EVERYTHING — the plot, the characters, the wild production choices, and why this movie has become a cult classic.
- Why Raul Julia’s performance is still unmatched
- How Van Damme’s Guile became a meme icon
- Why this movie is secretly brilliant at being ridiculous
- The wild production stories behind the scenes
- How Street Fighter (1994) became a cult classic
- And whether it’s the best bad video‑game movie ever made
This retro review is going to be a blast.
