Ghostbusters Frozen Empire At the Theater Spoiler Free Review | NYSQ Reviews

We are at the theater for our spoiler free review of Ghostbusters Frozen Empire

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a 2024 American supernatural comedy film directed by Gil Kenan from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jason Reitman. It is the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and the fifth film in the Ghostbusters franchise. The film stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O'Connor, and Logan Kim reprising their roles from Afterlife, alongside Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and William Atherton reprising their characters from the earlier films, with Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt joining the cast. Set three years after the events of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the veteran Ghostbusters must join forces with their new recruits to save the world in New York City from a powerful death-chilling adversary who seeks to build a spectral army.

Following the success of Afterlife, Sony Pictures announced the sequel in April 2022, with Reitman returning as director. Kenan later took over as director from Reitman that December, while the rest of the cast reprised their roles. New cast members including Oswalt, Nanjiani, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind were announced in March 2023, with principal photography commencing that month and wrapping in June. It is the first film in the Ghostbusters franchise to be released following the death of Ivan Reitman, who posthumously receives credit as a producer, while the film is dedicated to his memory and celebrates the 40th anniversary of the first film.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire had its world premiere at the AMC 13 Theater at Lincoln Square in New York City on March 14, 2024, and was released in the United States on March 22, 2024, by Sony Pictures Releasing under its Columbia Pictures label. The film received mixed reviews from critics.

MCU Rumor Mill Rundown | NYSQ Rumors and News

We got a bunch of new MCU Rumors (not confirmed) and we are going to go in depth about all the latest!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films produced by Marvel Studios. The films are based on characters that appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The franchise also includes television series, short films, digital series, and literature. The shared universe, much like the original Marvel Universe in comic books, was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast, and characters.

Marvel Studios releases its films in groups called "Phases", with the first three phases collectively known as "The Infinity Saga" and the following three phases as "The Multiverse Saga". The first MCU film, Iron Man (2008), began Phase One, which culminated in the 2012 crossover film The Avengers. Phase Two began with Iron Man 3 (2013) and concluded with Ant-Man (2015). Phase Three began with Captain America: Civil War (2016) and concluded with Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019). Phase Four began with Black Widow (2021) and concluded with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) began Phase Five, which will end with Thunderbolts (2025), and Phase Six will begin with The Fantastic Four (2025). Phase Six and "The Multiverse Saga" will conclude with Avengers 5 (2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (2027).

Marvel Television expanded the universe to network television with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC in 2013 before further expanding to streaming television on Netflix and Hulu and to cable television on Freeform. They also produced the digital series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Slingshot. Marvel Studios began producing their own television series for streaming on Disney+, starting with WandaVision in 2021 as the beginning of Phase Four. They also expanded to television specials in Phase Four, known as Marvel Studios Special Presentations, the first of which was Werewolf by Night (2022). The MCU also includes tie-in comics published by Marvel Comics, a series of direct-to-video short films called Marvel One-Shots, and viral marketing campaigns for the films featuring the faux news programs WHIH Newsfront and The Daily Bugle.

The franchise has been commercially successful, becoming one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time, and generally received positive reviews. It has inspired other film and television studios to attempt similar shared universes and has also inspired several themed attractions, an art exhibit, television specials, literary material, multiple tie-in video games, and commercials.

The Bad Batch S3 Episodes 6 & 7 | NYSQ What's Next

Your Fellow Nerds are back after having watched the latest installment of Star Wars The Bad Batch on Disney+ and we can't wait to break it down, review it, and of course ask WHAT'S NEXT.

This week we had two action packed episodes “Infiltration” and “Extraction” that at times felt like some of the best episodes of episodes of The Clone Wars.  The Bad Batch this season has been utilizing far more serialized storytelling which allows several of the storylines that have been running in parallel to suddenly converge synergistically or collide explosively.

This action-packed two-parter is one such inflection point. Rex’s team has captured a Clone X assassin who infiltrated a secret meeting between Senator Chuchi and Singh. But in the process, they discover that Omega is in danger. Hence, the A story: The Bad Batch trying to find their way in the galaxy and protect Omega, intersects with the B story: how all the clones are under threat from the Empire and what will happen to them once that Empire considers them completely obsolete.

Our characters learn a lot in these two episodes: chiefly that Hemlock tried to make Crosshair a Clone X assassin and failed, and that Omega is on Hemlock’s target list.

Are we as brainwashed as Hemlock's clone assassins?  Were these episodes as good as we thought they were?  Should they just hurry up and give Crosshair his own series already?  Give this video a watch and comment your thoughts down below.

Let's Play Star Wars Dark Forces Remaster - Chapter 1 Secret Base The Death Star Plans

Star Wars Dark Forces Chapter 1 Secret Base The Death Star Plans, join me as Kyle Katarn on this amazing adventure!

Star Wars: Dark Forces is a first-person shooter video game developed and published by LucasArts. It was released in 1995 for MS-DOS and Macintosh, and in 1996 for the PlayStation. The story is set in the fictional Star Wars expanded universe and begins shortly before the original Star Wars film, before flashing forward to a year after the film's events. The game's protagonist and playable character is Kyle Katarn, a mercenary working on behalf of the Rebel Alliance who discovers the Galactic Empire's secret Dark Trooper Project, which involves the development of a series of powerful new battle droids and power-armored stormtroopers.

Dark Forces uses the Jedi game engine, which was developed specifically for the game. The engine adds gameplay features that were uncommon to the first-person shooter genre at the time of release, including level designs with multiple floors, and the ability to look up and down.

Upon release, the PC and Macintosh versions of the game received generally favorable reviews from critics, who praised its level design and technological advances, though the PlayStation version was criticized for having poor graphics and slow frame rates which make it much less enjoyable than the computer versions. The game also did well financially, selling almost 1 million copies in the United States by 1999. The game's success launched the Star Wars: Jedi Knight series, beginning with the direct sequel Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II in 1997.

A remastered version of the game was developed by Nightdive Studios, and was released on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on February 28, 2024
