Let's Play Gotham Knights Part 3: NYSQ LiveStream

Our Thursday Night Let's Play and today's game is Gotham Knights part 3! Watch Keith play and thankfully get help from the chat while Dave and Doug talk about anything and everything!

Gotham Knights is an action role-playing game developed by WB Games Montréal and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Inspired by the Batman: Gotham Knights comic series based on the DC Comics character Batman and his supporting cast, the game focuses on the characters Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood as they attempt to restore justice to Gotham City during a period of decline in the immediate aftermath of Batman's death. While investigating the events that led to their mentor's demise, the heroes become embroiled in an ancient conflict between two secret organizations fighting for control of Gotham: the Court of Owls and the League of Shadows.

Gameplay is presented from the third-person perspective with a primary focus on using each playable character's traversal and combat abilities to defeat enemies and explore the environment. Players can freely move around Gotham City, interacting with characters, undertaking missions, and gaining experience points and other resources to level up their characters and equipment. Outside of the story, players are able to complete side missions to unlock additional content and collectible items. A cooperative online multiplayer mode is also included, allowing two players to play through the single-player campaign together while progressing in their own game.

First announced at DC FanDome in August 2020, Gotham Knights was released on October 21, 2022, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Versions for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were also planned, but were ultimately cancelled. The game received mixed reviews from critics, with criticism for its general gameplay design and story, although its co-op mode and the characterization of the lead characters received praise.

Andor Episode 12 Rix Road Breakdown and Review and What's Next for the Series

The first season of Andor is done so we are breaking down the finale and looking to what's next in season 2!

Andor (also known as Star Wars: Andor) is an American science-fiction action-adventure television series created by Tony Gilroy for the streaming service Disney+. It is the fourth live-action series in the Star Wars franchise, as well as a prequel to the spin-off film Rogue One (2016). The series follows thief-turned-Rebel spy Cassian Andor during the five years that lead to the events of the film.

Diego Luna reprises his role as Cassian Andor and also serves as an executive producer. The ensemble cast also includes Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Joplin Sibtain, James McArdle, Rupert Vansittart, Stellan Skarsgård, Fiona Shaw, Alex Ferns, Gary Beadle, Genevieve O'Reilly, Denise Gough, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, Elizabeth Dulau, Kathryn Hunter, Alastair Mackenzie, Anton Lesser, Alex Lawther, Sule Rimi, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr, Stanley Townsend, Ben Miles, Andy Serkis, Duncan Pow, Forest Whitaker, and Richard Dillane. Lucasfilm announced a series focused on Andor in November 2018, with Luna attached and Stephen Schiff hired as showrunner. Schiff was replaced by Rogue One co-writer Gilroy as creator and showrunner in April 2020. Filming began at the end of November 2020, with Gilroy unable to direct as planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming took place at Pinewood Studios in London and on location around the United Kingdom, and wrapped by September 2021.

The first season of Andor premiered on Disney+ on September 21, 2022, with the first three of its twelve episodes. It has received positive reviews from critics, with praise directed toward its visual effects, action sequences, musical score, writing, performances (particularly those of Luna, Skarsgård, and Serkis), and the darker, more mature tone compared to other Star Wars projects, although it has received some criticism for its pacing. The rest of the season's episodes will be released weekly through November 23. A second twelve-episode season is in development, with filming scheduled to begin in November 2022. It will conclude the series and lead into the events of Rogue One.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Breakdown and Review NYSQ LiveStream

We go in-depth on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever with our complete breakdown on the final film of phase 4.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a 2022 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Black Panther. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to Black Panther (2018) and the 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, and stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Dominique Thorne, Florence Kasumba, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett. In the film, the leaders of Wakanda fight to protect their nation in the wake of King T'Challa's death.

Ideas for a sequel began after the release of Black Panther in February 2018. Coogler negotiated to return as director in the following months, and Marvel Studios officially confirmed the sequel's development in mid-2019. Plans for the film changed in August 2020 when Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman died from colon cancer, with Marvel choosing not to recast his role of T'Challa. Other main cast members from the first film were confirmed to return by that November, and the title was announced in May 2021. Production initially took place from late June to early November 2021, in Atlanta and Brunswick, Georgia, as well as around Massachusetts, before a hiatus to allow Wright to recover from an injury sustained during filming. Production resumed by mid-January 2022 and wrapped in late March in Puerto Rico.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiered at the El Capitan Theatre and the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on October 26, 2022, and will be released in the United States on November 11, 2022, as the final film in Phase Four of the MCU. The film received positive reviews from critics, who praised its cast performances (particularly Wright, Huerta and Bassett), emotional weight, direction, action sequences, musical score and tribute to Boseman.
