Tigra dives off the Golden Gate Bridge to show that she is
no longer terrified of water
And when she gets back into their boat with Hank Pym, Damion
Hellstrom and Patsy Walker (AKA Hellcat) they see the Harbor Patrol chasing
someone swimming faster than their boast and out to the Pacific Ocean
A fight ensues on the boat,
Damion with out his staff can only try and keep the boat steady, Hank cannot
help so it is up to Tigra and Hellcat. Tiger Shark is getting the best of them
until they tear his suit open so the water spills out and Tiger Shark needs
water when he is on land.
While getting taken away by
the Harbor Patrol, Tiger Shark taunts Hank Pym since he helped take him down
way back in Avengers #230 and Hank tells his story of how he was never cut out to
be a Super Hero and the frustrations he felt and took out on Jan (the Wasp), but
now he is helping carry on the Avenger’s traditions helping the West Coast
Avengers in a lab, not in a costume.
Tigra breaks it off with
Hank, she is something different and unsure of what she wants, Hank starts to
lose it, but pulls it together before going over the edge since he saw what
happened to Quicksilver in West Coast Avengers Annual #1. Meanwhile, the rest
of the West Coast Avengers are enjoying a quiet time together while Wonder Man prepares dinner for the team. Hawkeye wants to reach out to Firebird about joining
the team since he botched it so badly the last time. Hank comes up with a plan
to catch Whirlwind, Tiger Sharks old Master’s of Evil teammate, since he was
supposed to hellp him escape earlier. So with the help of he SFPD, they set a
trap for Whirlwind and he takes the bait.
Hellcat and Tigra grab
Whirlwind but he is too fast and escapes their hold. He goes for the Psycho
Circuit but Hellcat uses her claws to pull them away. Whirlwind goes after her
but when he lands, Tigra tears off his buzz-saws.
During the fight, Whirlwind
ends up on the roof where Hank Pym has been watching the fight. He taunts Hank
about being a nobody and he wishes he would have faced Iron Man instead of him, Hank enraged goes after him but Whirlwind is too fast and hank falls off the building.
Hellcat swoops in and saves Hank before he hits the ground!
When Hellcat asks him what
happened up there, he says nothing at all…
