The trailer for the
book of Boba Fett dropped this morning and this is our initial reaction to it!
The Book of Boba
Fett is an upcoming American television series created for the streaming
service Disney+. It is part of the Star Wars franchise, a spin-off from the
series The Mandalorian featuring the bounty hunter Boba Fett from that series
and other Star Wars media. The series takes place alongside the other The
Mandalorian spin-off Ahsoka.
Temuera Morrison
stars as Boba Fett, with Ming-Na Wen also starring as Fennec Shand. Both
reprise their roles from The Mandalorian and other previous Star Wars media.
Several attempts were made at developing a standalone Star Wars film centered
on Boba Fett before Lucasfilm began prioritizing its streaming series such as
The Mandalorian. Morrison appeared as Fett alongside Wen in the second season
of The Mandalorian, and a potential spin-off series was first reported in
November 2020. The Book of Boba Fett was officially announced in December 2020,
with Morrison and Wen starring. Filming had begun by that point, and lasted
until June 2021.
The series is set to
premiere on December 29, 2021.

Eternals is an
upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics race of the same
name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion
Pictures, it is intended to be the 26th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
(MCU). The film was written and directed by Chloé Zhao, with Patrick Burleigh
also contributing to the screenplay. It stars an ensemble cast including Gemma
Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren
Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Gil Birmingham, Harish Patel, Kit Harington,
Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. In the film, the Eternals, an immortal alien
race, emerge from hiding after thousands of years to protect Earth from their
evil counterparts, the Deviants.
In April 2018,
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced that a film based on the
Eternals had begun development, with Ryan and Matthew K. Firpo hired to write
the script in May. Zhao was set to direct the film by late September, and was
given freedom to use her own style when making the film such as filming on
location more than previous Marvel Studios films. Zhao re-wrote the screenplay,
which Burleigh was later revealed to have also contributed to. Starting in
March 2019, a diverse cast was hired to portray the Eternals which include
Marvel Studios' first depiction of an LGBTQ superhero. Principal photography
took place from July 2019 to February 2020, at Pinewood Studios as well as on
location in London and Oxford, England, and in the Canary Islands.
Eternals is
scheduled to be released in the United States on November 5, 2021, as part of
Phase Four of the MCU.

Kasady at the end of Venom with the intention of him becoming the villain Carnage

and Harrelson confirmed to return along with Marcel as writer. Serkis was hired
as director that August, partly due to his experience working with CGI and
motion-capture technology which was an important part of portraying Venom and

Shang-Chi and the
Legend of the Ten Rings is an upcoming American superhero film based on the
Marvel Comics character Shang-Chi. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed
by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the 25th film in
the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Destin Daniel
Cretton from a screenplay he wrote with David Callaham and Andrew Lanham, and
stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi alongside Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh,
Fala Chen, Meng'er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng. In the film,
Shang-Chi is forced to confront his past after he is drawn into the Ten Rings
organization.
A film based on
Shang-Chi entered development in 2001, but work did not begin in earnest until
December 2018 when Callaham was hired. Cretton joined in March 2019, with the
project fast-tracked as Marvel's first film with an Asian lead. The film's
title and primary cast were announced that July, revealing the film's
connection to the Mandarin (Leung) and his Ten Rings organization that appears
throughout the MCU. Filming began in February 2020 but was put on hold in March
due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed in August before completing in
October. Shooting occurred in Sydney and San Francisco.
Shang-Chi and the
Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to be released in the United States on
September 3, 2021, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.

Spider-Man: No Way
Home is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics
character Spider-Man, co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, and
distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is intended to be the sequel to
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and the
27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Jon
Watts, written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland as
Peter Parker / Spider-Man, alongside Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon
Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, Alfred
Molina, and Jamie Foxx. In the film, Parker asks Dr. Stephen Strange to help
make his identity as Spider-Man a secret following its public revelation in Far
From Home.
A third MCU
Spider-Man film was intended as early as 2017, during production on Homecoming.
By August 2019, negotiations between Sony and Marvel Studios to alter their
deal—in which they produce the Spider-Man films together—ended with Marvel
Studios leaving the project; however, a negative fan reaction led to a new deal
between the two companies a month later. Watts, McKenna, Sommers, and Holland
were set to return at that time. Filming began in October 2020 in New York
City, before moving to Atlanta later that month. During filming, Foxx and
Molina were revealed to be appearing in the film, reprising characters from
past Spider-Man films. The title was revealed in February 2021, before filming
wrapped at the end of March.
Spider-Man: No Way
Home is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 17, 2021, as
part of Phase Four of the MCU. A fourth Spider-Man film is in development.
