The Bad Batch Season 3 Episodes 1-3 | NYSQ Breakdowns

The 3 episode premiere for the Bad Batch is finally here and we are going to break it down and give are reviews! 



Star Wars: The Bad Batch is an American animated series created by Dave Filoni for the streaming service Disney+. It is part of the Star Wars franchise, acting as both a sequel to, and spin-off from, the series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The Bad Batch is produced by Lucasfilm Animation, with Jennifer Corbett as head writer and Brad Rau as supervising director.

Dee Bradley Baker voices the members of the Bad Batch, a squad of elite clone troopers with genetic mutations that enabled them to resist the mass-murder initiative with which Emperor Palpatine eliminated most of the Jedi Order, relegating them to the status of fugitives of the Galactic Empire, who take on daring mercenary missions in the aftermath of the Clone Wars.

Baker also voices other clones in the series, reprising his role from The Clone Wars. Michelle Ang stars as Omega, a female clone who joins the squad. The series was officially ordered by Disney+ in July 2020 as a spin-off from The Clone Wars, with Filoni, Corbett, and Rau attached.

The first season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch premiered on May 4, 2021, and ran for 16 episodes until August 13. It received positive reviews from critics. A second season, also consisting of 16 episodes, premiered on January 4, 2023, and concluded on March 29. A third and final season was announced in April 2023 and is set to be released on February 21, 2024. It will consist of 15 episodes, and conclude on May 1, 2024.

Invincible Season 2 Part 2 Trailer Breakdown and Review

The trailer for Invincible season 2 part 2 dropped and we are going to break it down for you. Who else is excited for the final 4 episodes of season 2?



Invincible is an adult animated superhero television series created by Robert Kirkman for Amazon Prime Video and premiered on March 25, 2021. Based on the Image Comics series of the same name by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the show follows 17-year-old Mark Grayson and his transformation into a superhero under the guidance of his father Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on the planet. During his transformation, Mark finds himself struggling between his personal life and superhero duties, where he will be forced to prove that he can be the hero that his father is. The series stars Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, and J. K. Simmons as the Grayson family, while the rest of the cast serve as recurring characters.

Following its release, the series received widespread acclaim from critics and audiences, with praise for its animation, action sequences, story, writing, voice acting, emotional weight, and faithfulness to the comics. In April 2021, ahead of the first-season's finale, Amazon renewed the series for a second and third season. The second season is set to premiere on November 3, 2023.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Trailer Breakdown | NYSQ Breakdown & Review

Sony has dropped the trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the sequel to 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife and your Fellow Nerds are here to break it down for you all.

Frozen Empire follows the story of 2021’s Afterlife (and supposedly a prequel comic releasing AFTER the film), which was a direct sequel to the original films with a (mostly) new cast. The new movie is directed by Gil Kenan, who served as writer on Afterlife; he’s also penning the script alongside Jason Reitman. Much of the cast from Afterlife is returning here as well, including Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Logan Kim, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts, along with newcomers like Kumail Nanjiani.

X-Men '97 Trailer Breakdown and Discussion

We got a trailer for X-Men '97 and your fellow nerds are going to break it down! 


X-Men '97 is an upcoming American animated television series created by Beau DeMayo for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team X-Men. It is a revival of X-Men: The Animated Series (1992–1997), continuing from where that series ends and showing the X-Men face dangerous new challenges following the loss of their leader, Professor X. X-Men '97 is produced by Marvel Studios Animation, with DeMayo serving as head writer and Jake Castorena as supervising director.
Several cast members return from the original series to reprise their roles or voice new characters, including Cal Dodd, Lenore Zann, George Buza, Catherine Disher, Chris Potter, Alison Sealy-Smith, Adrian Hough, Christopher Britton, Alyson Court, Lawrence Bayne, and Ron Rubin. The revival was first discussed in June 2019 and formally announced in November 2021; DeMayo and Castorena were involved by then. Chase Conley and Emi Yonemura also directed episodes. The series is the first X-Men project from Marvel Studios since the studio regained the film and television rights to the characters. Animation was provided by Studio Mir and is a modernized version of the original series' style.
X-Men '97 is scheduled to premiere on March 20, 2024, and its first season will consist of ten episodes. A second season is in development.

Madame Web At the Theater Review [Spoiler Free]

It is finally out, Madame Web is in theaters, and we are there for our At The Theater spoiler free review!! Will we like it? 



Madame Web is a 2024 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character of the same name. Produced by Columbia Pictures and Di Bonaventura Pictures in association with Marvel Entertainment and TSG Entertainment, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is the fourth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU). The film was directed by S. J. Clarkson from a screenplay she co-wrote with Claire Parker and the writing team of Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. It stars Dakota Johnson in the title role, alongside Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O'Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott. In the film, Cassie Webb (Johnson) confronts her past while trying to save three young women and their futures from Ezekiel Sims (Rahim).

Sony began development on a Madame Web film for its shared universe by September 2019, with Sazama and Sharpless hired to write the script. Clarkson joined as director in May 2020, making the film her feature film directorial debut, while Johnson was cast in early 2022. This was followed by additional castings in the following months, particularly for the three Spider-Women characters. Madame Web is a suspense thriller that depicts the titular character's origin story in a standalone universe with an approach that was more grounded and gritty compared to many previously released superhero films. Filming began in mid-July 2022 and wrapped before the end of the year, occurring throughout Massachusetts, including Boston, and in New York City. Clarkson and Parker's involvement as writers was revealed in November 2023.

Madame Web premiered at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, Los Angeles on February 12, 2024, and was released in the United States on February 14. The film was panned by critics.

Deadpool and Wolverine Teaser Trailer Breakdown and Review

The teaser trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine dropped during the Superbowl and your favorite nerds are going to break it down for you! 



Deadpool & Wolverine is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters Deadpool and Wolverine, produced by Marvel Studios, Maximum Effort, and 21 Laps Entertainment, and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is intended to be the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and a sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). The film is directed by Shawn Levy from a script he wrote with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. Reynolds and Hugh Jackman star as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, alongside Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen.

Development on a third Deadpool film began at 20th Century Fox by November 2016, but was placed on hold after the studio was acquired by Disney in March 2019. Control of the character was transferred to Marvel Studios, which began developing a new film with Reynolds. It integrates Deadpool with the MCU and is intended to retain the R rating of the previous films. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin joined in November 2020 as writers. Reese and Wernick returned from the previous films for rewrites by March 2022, when Levy was hired as director. Jackman decided to reprise his role as Wolverine from Fox's X-Men films in August 2022. Wells, Reynolds, and Levy were confirmed to be contributing to the script by May 2023. Filming began later that month at Pinewood Studios in England, with additional filming in Norfolk and at Bovingdon Film Studios. Production was suspended in July due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, but resumed that November and wrapped in January 2024. The film's title was revealed a month later.

Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 26, 2024, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.

Uncle from Another World Episodes 1-3 | NYSQ Breakdown & Review

Your favorite nerds are continuing their Anime for beginners with Uncle from Another World. Are they going to like it? Can it be as good as Cowboy Bebop?


An anime television series adaptation of the Manga was announced on June 18, 2021. The series is produced by AtelierPontdarc and directed by Shigeki Kawai, with Kenta Ihara writing the series' scripts, Kazuhiro Oota designing the characters, and Kenichiro Suehiro composing the music. The opening theme song is "story" by Mayu Maeshima, while the ending theme song is "Ichibanboshi Sonority" by Yuka Iguchi. It aired from July 6, 2022, to March 8, 2023, on AT-X. The series is currently being streamed worldwide by Netflix. On July 27, it was announced that Episode 5 would be delayed for two weeks to August 17, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On September 2, following the release of Episode 7, an indefinite delay was put into effect, citing more COVID-19 related concerns. However, on August 27, Ippei Icchi stated that he was supposed to direct Episode 10, but abruptly left following the discovery that the episode still did not have staff chosen, and that only in-house staff would participate. On September 9, it was announced that the series would restart its broadcast from Episode 1 on October 6, with Episode 8, the first new episode since going on hiatus, airing on November 24. On December 26, it was announced that Episode 13 would be delayed and aired at a later date, which was later confirmed to be March 8, 2023
