NYSQ Suicide Squad the Janus Directive Giveaway Winner
We spin the wheel to find out big winner in our Suicide Squad the Janus Directive graphic novel giveaway! Thanks for everyone that participated and we look forward to our next comic giveaway for What If? And that is coming soon!
Amanda “the Wall” Waller has fought tooth and nail to keep her Suicide Squad of metahuman black ops agents in operation. Together with Checkmate, a covert government spy agency, these two teams make up Waller’s Task Force X, taking on the missions that the United States government deems too dangerous for anyone else. But the members of Task Force X aren’t the only ones doing the government’s dirty work…
When Waller uncovers a conspiracy code named the “Janus Directive,” it becomes clear that another government agency intends to wipe out Task Force X, and body count is not a consideration.
Is this the beginning of an all-out secret war between the country’s most dangerous operatives, or is someone else pulling the strings to further their own endgame? And if that’s the case, has someone finally done the impossible and outsmarted the Wall?
From an array of classic comics creators including John Ostrander, Paul Kupperberg, Kim Yale, John K. Snyder III, Steve Erwin, and many more, SUICIDE SQUAD: THE JANUS DIRECTIVE presents the classic crossover event in its entirety for the first time! Collects SUICIDE SQUAD #26-30, CHECKMATE #15-18, MANHUNTER #14, FIRESTORM #86 and CAPTAIN ATOM #30.

NYSQ InFocus: Kang the Conqueror
With the possibility of Kang the Conqueror showing up in the Loki finale tomorrow and since it has been confirmed that he will be in Ant-Man and the Wasp: QuantumMania we decided to go InFocus on the character
Kang the Conqueror is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is most frequently depicted as an opponent of the Avengers. A time-traveling entity, several alternate versions of Kang have appeared throughout Marvel's titles over the years, including his respective future and past heroic selves, Immortus and Iron Lad.
One History of Kang:
Nathaniel Richards, a 31st-century scholar and possible descendant of Reed Richards' time traveling father Nathaniel, becomes fascinated with history and discovers the time travel technology created by Victor von Doom. He then travels back in time to ancient Egypt aboard a Sphinx-shaped timeship and becomes the Pharaoh Rama-Tut, with plans to claim En Sabah Nur—the mutant destined to become Apocalypse—as his heir. Rama-Tut's rule is cut short when he is defeated by the time-displaced Fantastic Four. An embittered Nathaniel Richards travels forward to the 20th century, where he meets Doctor Doom, who he believes might be his ancestor. He later designs an armor based on Doom's and, calling himself the Scarlet Centurion, pits the Avengers team against alternate-reality counterparts. He plans to dispose of all of them, but the Avengers manage to force him from the timeline.
Nathaniel then tries to return to the 31st century, but overshoots by a thousand years, discovering a war-torn Earth that uses advanced weapons they no longer understand. He finds it simple to conquer the planet, expanding his dominion throughout the galaxy, and reinvents himself as Kang the Conqueror. But this future world is dying, and so he decides to take over an earlier, more fertile Earth

Loki is an upcoming American television series created by Michael Waldron for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki from the film series. Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Wunmi Mosaku also star. Loki was confirmed in November 2018, along with Hiddleston's involvement. Waldron was hired in February 2019, and Herron had joined by that August. Filming began in January 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia, but was halted in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed in September 2020 and completed that December.
